Ainuddin obtained his degree in Urban Estate Management from Liverpool John Moores University, UK and joined WTW Kuala Lumpur Office in 1999 as Valuation Executive where he was initially conducting valuation exercises. In 2001 he was seconded as part of Corporate Real Estate Services team responsible for the ExxonMobil account, in which he received recognition from the client for excellent performance in year 2005 and 2006. In this responsibility, he was promoted to Assistant Manager and thereafter Senior Assistant Manager in 2006.

Ainuddin is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, UK (RICS) and a member of the Royal Institution of Surveyors, Malaysia (RISM). He was elected as Honorary Secretary of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (Johor Branch) from 2010 to 2011 and subsequently elected as Vice Chairman for session 2012/2013. He also served as the Ex-Officio of Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (Johor Branch) in the Council of Pasir Gudang Municipal Council, Johor.

Upon obtaining his registration as a Valuer in 2006, Ainuddin was promoted to Manager of the Valuation Department at the Kuala Lumpur Office. In October 2008, he was transferred to manage the WTW Johor Bahru practice and subsequently promoted to Associate Director in 2010.

His specialist experience stems from various valuation assignments and corporate real estate consultancy services. He has been involved in the role to steward and manage ExxonMobil’s retail real estate portfolio and ensure implementation of market network plans and achievement of such plans. He has also involved in valuation for financing, rating, compulsory land acquisition, Securities Commission and corporate exercises with recent involvement in Johor, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia for organizations such as Iskandar Investment Berhad, Iskandar Waterfront Holdings, Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad, Damansara Assets Sdn. Bhd., Johor Corporation, Lee Rubber group, Sime Darby Berhad, I & P Group, Tradewinds Plantation Berhad, Boustead Holdings Berhad, UDA Holding Berhad, Indonesia Consulate and Pasir Gudang Municipal Council
